Install software rpc error

I must install a parch and a driver, but after swinstall command I have this error:

A Remote Procedure Call to a daemon has failed. Could not start a xqqqx
x x management session for "hp01:/tmp/patch_test/patch/PHNE_33622.depot". x x
xlqx Make sure the host is accessible from the network, and that its xqk x
xx x daemon, swagentd, is running.

hp01:/tmp/patch_test/patch /sbin/init.d/Rpcd start

yes I have used this command but nothing. I have modified default file with:

swinstall.rpc_timeout=9
swinstall.select_local=true

but nothing :(

Hi,

more hints using swinstall may come from
- invalid configuration of hostname: check /etc/hosts
- insufficent configuration of the name resolution: check the hosts entry in /etc/nsswitch.conf and the configuration used by its resolvers (NIS, DNS)

Try this :

Stop swagent
Stop nfs.client

Start nfs.client
Start swagent

I faced this issue sometime back and restarting the daemons solved it.

ok I have an error in hosts file.

I correct this. Now command starts but show this error:

hp01:/tmp/patch_test/patch/PHNE_33622": You do not have the x x
xqqx required permissions to perform this operation. Check permissions xqqqx
x x using the "swacl" command or see your system administrator for x x
xlqx assistance. Or, to manage applications designed and packaged for xqk x
xx x nonprivileged mode, see the "run_as_superuser" option in the "sd" man x ^ x
xx x page.

did you restart the swagentd after the correction in the hosts file?

I restarted daemon but have this now after "swinstall -s $PWD/myfile.depot"

Currently, there are no products on this source which are compatible x x
xlqqx with the target. Therefore, no products are shown.

PHNE_33622 is a 11.11 patch, is that your OS?

What does swlist show?
# swlist -s $PWD/myfile.depot

Damn! My system is 11.00

I must install gigether driver but I have not for 11.00 version... Where I can find this???

I assume your OS CDs are too old for that?

Searching the patch database for 11.00 and IGELAN I see: PHNE_29324
