Hi,

I am getting bellow error,

# resize
[HP ARIES32]: Error occured while writing core file for 32 bit
[HP ARIES32]: PA-RISC application /usr/bin/X11/resize (got signal 10).
[HP ARIES32]: Core file may not be correct.

I applied latest Aries cumulative patch also,but still getting the same error.

# PHSS_35528 1.0 Aries cumulative patch

Shalom,

My understanding is that ARIES is a library that permits Itanium systems to run PA-RISC binaries without recompile.

Our tests showed it gave our 32 bit apps a 70% performance hit.

Recompiling on Itanium without using ARIES was much better for us.

Your real problem may have nothing to do with aries but with resize. I.e. it got Signal 10 and then aries had problems writing the core file??
PA-RISC application /usr/bin/X11/resize (got signal 10).

Does your current directory allow writing a core file? And you haven't don't ulimit -c?

Curreent user having write permission to write core.

# ulimit
unlimited
# umask
022
# ulimit -c
4194303
