cannot access nfs3-specific umount command

Hi folks,
I have an issue with an old 10.20 box.
# /usr/sbin/swlist -l product | grep -i nfs
NFS B.10.20 ONC/NFS; Network-File System,Information Services,Utilities
PHCO_15341 B.10.00.00.AA mountall(1M) support for NFSv3 and CacheFS
PHCO_15343 B.10.00.00.AA umountall(1M) support for NFSv3
PHKL_17573 B.10.00.00.AA ki/nfs vasusage, ACE 2 bundle cumulative patch
PHNE_20021 B.10.00.00.AA NFS Kernel General Rel & Perf Patch.
PHNE_20626 B.10.00.00.AA NFS/NIS cumulative megapatch

A NetApp filer is in place I should try to mount a filesystem from this filer and it works fine.

Now I tried to umount it and got following:
cannot access nfs3-specific umount command

Actually no reboot is allowed on that host.
umountall -F nfs3 doesn't works.
I tried also to restart the nfs.client without success for this issue.

Any ideas without a reboot?

Hi Klaus,

Check the out put of " rpcinfo and nfsstat ".
Try to unmount the NFS mount points one by one.

I have only one mountpoit which cannot unmounted.

# umount /NEW_filer
umount: cannot access nfs3-specific umount command
#

hi

just a remark , mountpoint is not in format :

server/mountpoint ?

if yes you must specify umount /server/mountpoint

have you do a search by google ?
google indicates a patch PHNE_28886 , but this patch is unvailable now ...
perhaps on an old patch cd ...
