      <description>Titania,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For changing the largefiles bit in HFS The file system MUST be unmounted. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To convert the HFS file system to largefiles capable: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#fsadm -F hfs -o largefiles /dev/vg#/lvol# &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To mount the new largefiles capable file system : &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#mount -F hfs -o defaults,largefiles /dev/vg#/lvol# /(mountpoint) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To set the correct /etc/fstab syntax: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;     /dev/vg#/lvol# /stand hfs defaults,largefiles 0 2 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To verify the largefiles being set you can use mount() or fsadm(). &lt;BR /&gt;Verify with mount() command: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;     mount -v : &lt;BR /&gt;     /dev/vg00/lvol1 on /stand type hfs largefiles on Wed Apr 29 &lt;BR /&gt;     19:23:35 1998 &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this help&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;WK&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pls assign points</description>

      <description>titania,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Dennis is right, it is only applicable for vxfs if you want to increase size, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#fsadm -F vxfs  -b &lt;NUMBER&gt;M  /dev/vgXX/lvolXX &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  -F represents what filetype &lt;BR /&gt;  -b represents the size &lt;BR /&gt;   M represents 'Megabytes' &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Example: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; #fsadm  -F vxfs -b 100M  /dev/vg03/lvol2 &lt;BR /&gt;This will extend lvol2 100 megabytes with a vxfs filetype&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;WK&lt;/NUMBER&gt;</description>

      <description>you need to do a lvextend on file system you want to extend, then u can use fsadm if Online Jfs is installed, &lt;BR /&gt;command syntex for fsadm is&lt;BR /&gt;fsadm -F hfs /dev/vg02/rlvol1&lt;BR /&gt;man fsadm_hfs&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
