Hello,

I just installed HPUX 11i on a L2000 server. The installation was successful. However, SAM seems to be extremley slow...... It takes several minutes to get he first screen. Has anyone seen this problem before ?.

Thanks - Subbu

Hi Subbu,

Check if you don't have any network problems. Sam is specialy using the NFS to come up.

Use the ping command to see how much time you need to reach your default gateway.

Magdi

I have to go with Magdi KAMAL here and say it sounds like a network problem. Perhaps a DNS timeout issue. Make sure you can actually contact any DNS servers you've configured and also make sure you can resolve your own hostname (either through DNS or through /etc/hosts).
