    <description>I see only the below in the patch info.  No mention of corrupt or missing device files only some oddity of /stand no unmounting with the daemon running..?&lt;BR /&gt;  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; PHKL_31506:&lt;BR /&gt; ( SR:8606350838 CR:JAGaf11650 )&lt;BR /&gt; The "/stand" directory cannot be unmounted&lt;BR /&gt; when the kernel random number generator daemon&lt;BR /&gt; is loaded.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; ( SR:8606351838 CR:JAGaf12643 )&lt;BR /&gt; This product update is a member of a set needed to&lt;BR /&gt; pre-enable the future security features. This product&lt;BR /&gt; update has no other impact on your system.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Cannot tell you what broke it but.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Why not just reinstall ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Latest version on software.hp.com is&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;B11.23.09&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>You could attempt to recreate with mksf..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lsdev to find the major number for the rng and on all my systems the minor number is 0x000001&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Otherwise the Random number software is on software.hp.com&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
