There is a difference between a disabled printer (which will still accept requests) and a printer that has been explicitly rejected using the reject command. Printers are automatically disabled when the interface file exits with a range of status codes.

Hi,

I'm curious to know what are the possible causes for a printer that has been enabled previously (tested work before) to disable itself (not accepting requests).

The printer is configured as a remote printer.

Will switching the printer the printer server off cause the OS to automatically disable the printer?
