      <description>if you mean something that sets enviroment variables and such on the machine you're connecting to, then I believe the answer is "no".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the  .netrc file referred to above only contains information used to automatically connect to a given machine.  it may also contain macro definitions, but to my knowledge those aren't what you're talking about</description>
