If you are using the HP JetDirect network printer driver ( sometimes called hppi ) then the interface script needs to be updated to go to port 2 ( i.e. PORT=9101 )
/etc/lp/interface/my_printer

Otherwise if you are actually using the rlp ( aka remote printer ) then the config needs to be fixed on the host that services the remote printer.

If this is a remote printer then you will have to review the configuration on the server supporting the remote printer. Once on that server it would be inaccurate to call it a remote printer.

What type of printer config is this, in reference to the server supporting the printer. There are two types, network based printer and directly attached, i.e. (serial or parallel). Once again, the word remote refers to some other server supporting the printer.
