      <description>Hi, I just did vmstat 5 5 on my machine, and I am getting strange output.&lt;BR /&gt;# model&lt;BR /&gt;9000/887/G70/H70&lt;BR /&gt;# vmstat 5 5&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;My id column in CPU sections shows negative values? &lt;BR /&gt;cpu&lt;BR /&gt;us  sy  id&lt;BR /&gt;24  5   71&lt;BR /&gt;102  2 -5&lt;BR /&gt;103  2 -5&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any Idea?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Dilip&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Dilip,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thing to notice here is the total of us sy and id remained around 100%. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I think due to high %USR utilization, the averaging might be getting inapproximated within the vmstat program itself.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What is the value for pswtch/s in your sar -w output ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-Sri</description>
