vPar and boot disk failure notification

Hello,

I have two disks in rx7640 in LVM mirror. I used those disks only for boot vpmon. After that all vPars are booted directly from SAN.

I would like to know if there is any chance to be notified if any of (internal) disks failed.

So youe first vpar is running on the internal disks. So if any of those disk fails and EMS is running then you will get an notification under vpar-1. There should be lbolt error messages under syslog and dmesg of vpar-1.

I assume you have a standalone config using the internal disks for boot.
All vPars are booting from SAN, so the internal disks are not part of a VPAR, right?

If no running system can see the disks, there is no monitoring.

Consider to include the internal disks in one of your vpars.
