Adding SW To Patch Depots

Hello Everyone,

I need to append a small depot to a larger patch depot. What commands can I use to do that?

Hi Suren:

You use 'swcopy':

# swcopy -v -s /tmp/HWEnable11i -x enforce_dependencies=false \* @ /var/tmp/swdepot

The use of -x enforce_dependencies=false' defers the requirement for all dependencies to be present until your actual 'swinstall'. That is, only set this attribute to false when creating depots; not during an actual 'swinstall' session.

... and you can use SAM to interactively invoke swcopy to do this task as well.

hi surey ;

to copy more than one depot to a bundle is

for i in PH*.depot
do
swcopy -x enforce_dependencies=false -s ${PWD}/$i \* @ $PWD/patches
done

you can install this bundle by

swinstall -s $PWD/patches
