Hi All

I had a Cluster DB (Oracle) environment with some application servers (not in cluster ) , which is recently patched to Q2-2007 , OS version 11.11

First I patched the DB servers on cluster and after the patching I checked the cluster fail over it was successful

And then I done the patching of application nodes which are not in cluster, but after the patching of application servers , the cluster package startup hanged in a position where we using the RSH for starting some applications on this application servers . It works fine after put remarks on those lines of RSH..

Do any one have any idea of similar problem after patching the RSH stops working?

Please share the thoughts and solutions

Thanks in Advance
Nair
Hi Nair,

Please let us know what error you get while using RSH in the script ?

During patching some security restictions might have come in place.

Thanks,
Srikanth

it is likly that configuration files which decides the remsh/rsh is changed.. Like inetd.conf,,,,i have seen this file getting replaced after certain cluster patching.

Might the changes be on DB nodes(in cluster) or a the app node itself.
