topic jetadmin in Operating System - HP-UX

Hi all,

For HPUX 11.00 using jetadmin utility for UNIX VD.06.21

I would like to add HP3744 and HP LJ P2015:

1. do I need to add driver/model script in jetadmin? If yes, where to download and how to configure. I cannot find these printer in /etc/lp/interface.

2. How can I find whether Jetadmin or OS support for printer model?

These model script files cannot be installed completely without the software package of HP JetDirect Printer Installer for UNIX bein installed first

I am using Jetadmin.

... and you shouldn't be using Jetadmin. It has been obsolete for > 5 years. Hppi is a direct replacement for jetadmin and the transferqueue command will convert your existing jetadmin interface files to use the newer hpnpl commands.

The only thing that you lose with the newer version is the X-based printer monitor but since printers have web-based interfaces and traps that really doesn't matter.
