HPVM Installation Errors

Hi,

Trying to install HP-UX 11iV2 Sep 2006 onto a HPVM & get the errors below. This has happened with 3 different install media.

hi aidan ;
if you mount cd by "-i cdcase" option then some files will in uppercase. you need to change that mount option.

so, you have installed 11iv2 onto the host Integrity Server I guess, and then the Integrity Virtual Machines software and any relevant patches.
When you created the VM, did you create the Virtual DVD using the real physical DVD, or a Virtual DVD (file) after copying the Install media onto the Host server?

Hi,

The media was installed on the virtual DVD drive which was mapped from the phyisical DVD drive on the host.

ie not an ISO image.

Hi Hasan,

When you install from HP-UX media DVD you don't mount the DVD with any mount options..etc, EFI takes care of it all & the install process only requires the install DVD's to be present.
