Hello,
On HPUX If you are stuck in a process startup script that keeps saying busy/waiting. To break out of that press the control key and the pipe key (same key as \ )at the same time.
ctrl <|>

Then you will get a log in promt where you can go and fix what is getting hung and then you will have to restart the box again.

Richard

It should be just like any other HP-UX machine.... There will be prompt during the boot sequence that says something like "Press any key within 10 seconds to discontinue booting". When that comes up you have 10 seconds to press a key, I usually opt for the space bar, else the machine keeps booting.

I assume you are at the console and watching the boot sequence when you are trying to stop the boot cycle.

Hello Ana,

the first question is: did you use the local keyboard
directly attached to one of the twi USB ports on the
back of the B2000's chassis?

Well, the first message you will be able to read on the
screen is the message for changing the resolution of
your B2000's graphics card - you have 10 seconds to
press "any" key to change the resolution, and then for
me did "esc" and "tab" work (or you wait for these 10s
to pass by ;-).

The next message is the one you want: again for 10s
and again the "any" key working for me were "space"
and "esc" and "return".

HTH,
Wodisch

Hello all,

Thank you very much for your help. At the end I needeed to put a normal console terminal on the serial port as the boot sequence messages are not displayed on the normal WS monitor.
