Try with setboot -a
without parameters.

setboot -a without parameters does not work, it results with

#setboot -a
setboot: option requires an argument -- a

For a mirrored disk you should set the HAA path to the mirrored (alternate) disk.

Depending on your server you can control the behaviour.

Example for PA-RISC:

Configuration Menu: Enter command > pf

Primary Boot Path Action
Boot Actions: Go to BCH.

HA Alternate Boot Path Action
Boot Actions: Go to BCH.

Alternate Boot Path Action
Boot Actions: Go to BCH.

This means autoboot and autosearch is off.

Not sure of the reason you wish to delete the entry but...

How about just setting it the same as the Primary path, or, set it to the CD-ROM, or, set it to some bugus address ( 0.0.0.0 ) ?

Hi å° é©¬å ¥,

I don't think there is a way to delete hardware boot path from HP-UX. You can only modify with setboot or parmodify if you have a middle range box with cells.

So the only way to do that is to reboot, and delete path from ISL (PA-RISC) or EFI (Itanium).
