      <description>You can see the priority of each command using the -f option in ps. If you want to see the processes sorted by CPU usage, just run the command: top. NOTE: unless the processes are not doing any I/O (disk, network), there isn't a lot you can do to give more resources to one process versus another. The priority will be changing several times each second. Now if this is a real problem, you need to look at Process Resource Manager (PRM), a priced product from HP.</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;Kapil: To change priority use "nice" command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;nice(1) only works at the start.  If you want to change it later use renice(1):&lt;BR /&gt;$ renice -n 20 PID</description>
