    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if there is no tape drive available, consider using Ignite's make_net_recovery (man make_net_recovery). You'll have to use 2 servers for this purpose - one being an Ignite Server and another for Ignite Client.       <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;OS : HP-UX 11i&lt;BR /&gt;Database : Oracle 10g (10.2.0.1)&lt;BR /&gt;RAC is implemented&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am an Oracle DBA and want to know how can i take full os backup and what should be the  strategy to do this task.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>

      <description>check your ignite. depends on your server utility&lt;BR /&gt;generally, you can try this out either these 2 depends on your server utility&lt;BR /&gt;1. &lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -funC tape&lt;BR /&gt;# mt -f /dev/rmt/0mnb status&lt;BR /&gt;# make_recovery -AC -d /dev/rmt/0mn &lt;BR /&gt;choose the 0mn - no rewind &lt;BR /&gt;2. &lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -funC tape&lt;BR /&gt;# ./make_tape_recovery -I -v -x inc_entire=vg00 -a /dev/rmt/0mn &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope it helps. &lt;BR /&gt;</description>
