I don't know your OS version, but if you want to do striping on vg00, you need to re-install or re-image the OS.
Consider this:
1) do all 3 disks in and stripe across them from the beginning
2) for vg00 it may be better to mirror the disks instead of striping

Hi

You need to mention the number of stripes while creating Logical Volume only.

# lvcreate -i <NUMBER of="" stripes=""> <LVNAME> <VGNAME>

Cannot add one more stripe on the existing LVOL, howeveryou can recreate LVOL with more stripes.

Hope this helps you.

Thanks & Regards

Ramesh</VGNAME></LVNAME></NUMBER>

You might want to reconsider striping, especially on vg00. As mentioned above, there is no way to add another disk and extend existing striping in the way you might expect. Striping is a custom task and making changes to the lvols or adding/deleting disks is quite complicated. vg00 should just be your OS and would not benefit meaningfully from striping. Instead, create a new VG on other disks, then create your striping for the lvols. Keep good records.
