Hello,
I'm new to this forum and have "zero" Unix experience, yet I have to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair our HP-UX workstations. Not a problem because if I can't fix it, someone out there can (and hopefully that person(s) is willing to assist).

I'm receiving the following error message:

Configuration error: No HP-IB Interface at address; 7
Refer to installation manual
Object title: HP34522(300)
Object type: Component Driver
In user function: Read Angle
Error number: 801

Now, all of that might as well be written in Greek because I do not have a clue as to what is being talked about.

Is anyone up to the challenge of assisting a rookie? Hope so.
Thanks in advance,
Ed.....
Shalom,

I have not seen that one, though I work primarily with servers.

I would surmise that its a hardware issue, probably a dead NIC card.

Perhaps you could help us out with the model number and then we can link you in to a troubleshooting document for the system.

SEP

could this be CAD or printer related and generated due to lack of driver or as said previously due to a h/w issue. Has this just started occuring, on just 1 workstation ?

What do you run that produces the above error or
where do you see it.

do you have a copy of the installation manual ;-)

include versions of application and o/s here

uname -a and model would also be of use as would ioscan for starters. nb these are unix commands and need to be run from a command line / terminal session : post outputs.
