topic Reflections for Secure IT in Operating System - HP-UX

2 questions please....we are looking at going to Reflections for secure IT because of having to use sftp with a certificate. I am wanting to put this on a HPUX 11.23 PA-RISC server, but looking at attachmate's web site I see that 11.23 is for IA only. Will this work on a PA also?

Second, the instructions say that I must uninstall HPUX ssh to do this. What do I use for the software name in the swremove command?

thanks

Jay,

No an IA binary won't work on a PA system.

Of course the version of PA-RISC 11.11 might work/be supported on 11iv2/PA. You'll have to ask Attachmate about that.

wrt to ssh - just identify the product name using swlist:

# swlist | grep -i secure
OpenSSL A.00.09.07m.002 Secure Network Communications Protocol
T1471AA A.04.70.009 HP-UX Secure Shell
HPswsp A.3.0F.02F.02F HP StorageWorks Secure Path Device Driver and utilities for Active-Active Disk Arrays

The first column gives the product name - so on my box I would use

swremove T1471AA

HTH

Duncan
