      <description>Hi Folks,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is necessory to run vgscan before I execute vgimport.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;we are doing san migration , new device will be allocated to server from new san box.&lt;BR /&gt;I have taken the vgexport out put for existing vg's, &lt;BR /&gt;do i need to run the vgscan befor I run vgimport.&lt;BR /&gt;thanks &lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Mohan</description>

      <description>if you migrate your san box with no change than u need not to run vgscan.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;after that, if you add new LUN than you need only ioscan and insf command to install your hardware.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;no need to run vgscan</description>

      <description>Not required, but maybe helpful if you run the command in preview mode (-p).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgscan -v -p&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will only show information and does not change anything.</description>
