    <description>tar is like zip but uses a different archive and compression.  You can zip it is you want but it might get even bigger.  Compressing a compressed file often does that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you want to unarchive/uncompress it use the command&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;tar -xf repository.tar&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you just want to see what is in it use:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;tar -tvf repository.tar</description>

      <description>dear kavitha&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if u want to know the filesytem type&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;u type &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;fstyp /dev/vg00/lvol1&lt;BR /&gt;hfs&lt;BR /&gt;now it is hfs file system because it is stand&lt;BR /&gt;similar way u can find all type of file system type in all logical volume&lt;BR /&gt;the above one is  a tar file&lt;BR /&gt;-----/var/opt/wbem/repository.tar&lt;BR /&gt;u have to extract it by using &lt;BR /&gt;tar -xvf command ok&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>This file contain the info about the CIM server .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you dont not want that you can do gzip to file to get the more space.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
