      <title>Setting mail Configuration</title>

      <description>Hai,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;   one of the remote user is not able to get/send mail from a local server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I was recieving the mail from root as i have given my ID in /etc/mail/aliases file in Local aliases.now added the remote user's name as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;In the sendmail.cf The remote host IP is specified and the local host is commented.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have given /usr/sbin/newaliases in order to create a new aliases.db &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but when i try to sendmail by using&lt;BR /&gt;#sendmail -v ID&lt;BR /&gt;message&lt;BR /&gt;.&lt;BR /&gt;it was going to /dead.letter.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is any configuration settings has to be made or checked and any deamons has to run accordingly.Kindly,Help me in resolving this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;Ganzsp</description>

      <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So far looks good.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;a) To make your environment better do this:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# touch /etc/mail/sendmail.st&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# chmod 700 /ocuins/home&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;b) Can you run command:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# sendmail -v userID&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and see what happens on the screen.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;c) Also, you forgot to send contents of&lt;BR /&gt;dead.letter :)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do not worry, we will sort you problem&lt;BR /&gt;out once we get the right logs.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;VK2COT</description>
