      <description>Guys&lt;BR /&gt;i am having problems loading a kernel, when i build a kernel it works ok but it won't load.&lt;BR /&gt;errors below &lt;BR /&gt;ARNING: No such device, tunable, or cdio bcvmap_size_factor.&lt;BR /&gt;        Ignoring the following line.&lt;BR /&gt;        bcvmap_size_factor 16&lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: No such device, tunable, or cdio cell.&lt;BR /&gt;        Ignoring the following line.&lt;BR /&gt;        cell&lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: No such device, tunable, or cdio pdh.&lt;BR /&gt;        Ignoring the following line.&lt;BR /&gt;        pdh&lt;BR /&gt;Generating module: rng...&lt;BR /&gt;Generating module: krm...&lt;BR /&gt;Compiling conf.c...&lt;BR /&gt;Loading the kernel...&lt;BR /&gt;ld: Unsatisfied symbol "vxvm_shutdown" in file /usr/conf/lib/libvxvm_vrts.a[volhp.o]&lt;BR /&gt;1 errors.&lt;BR /&gt;*** Error exit code 1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Stop.&lt;BR /&gt;config: make did an exit(1)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i have tried to get this to work all day Help.&lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;andrew</description>

      <description>Hi Andrew,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to fix the problem you should reinstall the patch which contains the unsatisfied symbol:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unsatisfied symbol "vxvm_shutdown" in file /usr/conf/lib/libvxvm_vrts.a[volhp.o]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) reinstall the related patch;&lt;BR /&gt;2) reboot the system and the kernel should be rebuilt well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Here a thread that looks the same:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1205859657615+28353475&amp;amp;threadId=1076315" target="_blank"&gt;http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1205859657615+28353475&amp;amp;threadId=1076315&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Fabio</description>
