topic APA question in Operating System - HP-UX

APA question

Hello,
I would like to activate APA on this system (rp4440, 11.11). The system has one active network connection, lan0, and one in-active connection, on the same subnet as lan0, plugged into lan1. Can I setup APA on lan0 and lan1 being my only network connections?

Other than what the manual says for requirements.

The NICs must run at the same speed.

Otherwise yes truck/channel/aggregate lan0 and lan1 into a single lan using HP APA. They will be seen on the system as lan900 being supported by two physical links one IP address.

Depending on the switch gear you have will determine whether or not you can agg accross switches.

HP APA works great, have been using it for years.

Yes, you can use lan0 and lan1. You will need to config files in /etc/lanmon and /etc/rc.config.d/hp_apaportconf and hp_apaconf. You will need to update the netconf file as well. The APA works and has help me many time.
