System hangs trying to initialize swap

I am running HPUX 11.11, when I boot, the system hangs after
Swap device table = ( start & size given in 512-byte blocks)

It doesn;t go any further, I tried to get into single user mode but the same problem

no error message or no beep sounds

any ideas ?

Can you bring you server to maintenances mode?

bo vmunix -lm

Shalom,

This usually indicates a disk problem.

Boot the system to single user or lm mode and investigate further.
