typically the emulator client that is used has an option to wrap or not wrap.

This is not a vt100 problem, it is the special program used as a terminal emulator. Some (not most) emulators will wrap at the end of the emulator's screen, but no-wrap is unusual. The answer is to change the emulator's configuration. Since there are dozens of emulator programs, it impossible to tell you exactly how to do this. Check the built-in help for the program. Or post the name of the program used to connect to the Unix box.

Or, if it really is a VT100, press "SET-UP",
then "5" = "SET-UP A/B" (to toggle into
SET-UP B mode), then use the arrow keys to
move to the second character in group 3.
There, use "6" = "TOGGLE 1/0" to set that
(AUTO WRAP) character as desired:
0 = OFF
1 = ON

In either case, a better description of what
you're doing, and with what you're doing it,
would be useful.
