Make_recovery B.11.23 to DVD

Hello:

Years ago we used to simply to safeguard our systems we would use make_recovery to a tape. Now I been out of the HP world for some time and back into it, where some changes I am seeing have occurred with B.11.23.

I simply want to take a make_recovery of each of our HP servers but we don’t have attached tape drives, I want to run the make recovery to DVD. This way I can have it portable, and a recovery Disk per Server and when the time comes I can use it at a DR site to rebuild at least the OS portion.

I been looking over so much documentation, that I simply cant find what I am looking for, everything assumes I need a ignite server, which is not what I am attempting to do, I just want a recovery disk, since I have no tape drive. Can someone offer me help?

Thanks guys, sorry I had to head out for a bit, the information you linked me to is very good.

One question, however it seems I still need to set up an ignite server in order to do what I need to do, am I correct?
