vx_buffer_cache question

If I check memory usage with "kmeminfo" I get a strange difference:

One of the servers show:
vx_buffer_cache = 97216 379.8m 5%
the other:
vx_buffer_cache = 17056 66.6m 1%

Why this big difference ?

Both servers is running HP-UX 11.23, and is used for Oracle databases.

The first server has 8GB of RAM, the second 6GB.

The only significant difference is that the first server is Itanium, the second PA-RISC.

It seems to be very hard to find any information about " vx_buffer_cache"

Thank you !

Dont understand what i did wrong when I searched for information, there is actually informatio to find.

I also belive I found the reason for the difference. One of the servers (the big cache) is used for a document management system and also contains a filesystem with a rather large number of document files.

So, this may be the reason.
