Hyperfabric was a low-latency interconnect for HP9000/HP Integrity Servers, usually used as a cluster interconnect. These were popular with some of the older versions of Oracle RAC where inter-node communication for cache fusion was not as efficient as it is today.

http://docs.hp.com/en/B6257-90043/ch01s01.html

Generally if people still see a need for a low latency interconnect of this sort, they will use infiniband instead.

HTH

Duncan
