HP-UX v2 patch question

I have a question concerning HP-UX 11i v2 moving forward. I like to know if HP will be putting out Patch Bundles for v2 or only individual patches going forward? Thx in advance.

Patch bundles are updated every 6 months, the new patch bundle for 11.23 should be released in June.

I agree it is a bit confusing. The nomenclature of standard patch bundles has changed back-and-forth over the last five releases (at least). The "Support Plus" media used to be a CD of the standard patch bundles. HP-UX 11.23 has standard bundles released every 6-months:

A much easier way to patch is to download and install the SWA (Software Assistant Tool). This allows you to specify what you want to collect (e.g. QPK = standard bundles; plus (SEC)urity patches, etc., for example) and based on a real-time analyis of your server's patch base, download and create a software depot for one-boot installation by 'swinstall'.

No reboot is necessary for its installation and its configuration is simple.

Patch bundles for 11.23 (v2) will become less frequent soon. 11.23 is entering the part of the life cycle where release updates and associated patch bundles begin to drop off.

In about a year or so, only individual patches released, like 11.11 (v1) is now.
