Hi

If you want to use SAM in graphic mode, then you need the GUI X login software. Its dangerous that you wanna export the xhost in server side for your machine where u wanna running GUI SAM.

Download the software(s) as stated above, this is fruitful.

>>i am connecting to the server by remote.

How exactly are you connecting?

Use of any of the GUI tools in HP-UX requires some sort X-Windows software on your PC. Two popular ones are Reflection X and Hummingbird Exceed.

Are you using one of these?

If you are just using Putty, then you will not be able to use the GUI X-Windows based tools.

As I stated above, you need some sort of X-Windows emulation software installed on your PC.

SAM uses Xwindows, the standard for Unix systems for more than 2 decades. There is no support for Xwindows on Windows -- you have to download an Xwindow emulator. Putty is just a simple terminal emulator and does not have a graphics capability.

Look at Xming, or CygwinX for free, Hummingbird or Attachmate Reflection/X for priced products. Without an Xwindow emulator on your PC, you cannot run any of the HP-UX utilities in graphics mode.
