how could i limit cpu usage for a specific process (oracle process) in HP-UX v2 system run on rx6600.

check out "nice" and "renice" in the man pages.

Search in these forums for "change priority of process" or "change priority of running process"

I think the best bet would a product like PRM (Process Resource Manager) or WLM (Workload Manager):

Of course you need PRM to use this. If you have the enterprise operating environment or mission critical operating environment, you already have PRM.
