I am unable to see the server physically
I would like to check what disks are internal and what are in external HP Storage Works Disk System 2100 enclosure (that holds 4 disks)
the model of the servers is: 9000/800/rp3440
Could you please give me a hint?

I believe these 3 will be internal to your system:

disk 0 0/0/2/0.0.0.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE TEAC DV-28E-N
/dev/dsk/c0t0d0 /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0
disk 1 0/1/1/0.1.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 73.4GST373454LC
/dev/dsk/c2t1d0 /dev/rdsk/c2t1d0
disk 2 0/1/1/1.2.0 sdisk CLAIMED DEVICE HP 73.4GST373454LC
/dev/dsk/c3t2d0 /dev/rdsk/c3t2d0

The rest, all of the c4t?d0 devices, should be in the external storage. The fact that they are all the same SCSI path, just with different SCSI ID's, is the real key.

The 4 external disks are the c4txd0 ones. In addition, the DS2100 uses this SCSI ID set, {t0, t2, t4, t6} (with the selector switch set to A) and they are physically in that order from left to right in the DS2100.

Hi Lucero,

here are the details:

0/1/1/0.1.0 - internal disk (middle slot)
0/1/1/1.2.0 - internal disk (top slot)

0/0/2/0.0.0.0 - internal DVD

0/3/1/0.x.0 - external disks (DS2100)

where x = 0 => most left slot
and x = 6 => most right slot

0/3/1/1.2.0 - external tape drive on second SCSI channel of dual channel HBA

0/3/1... - SCSI HBA installed in slot 2 of the server (second from top).
