Unsecured network services should be reviewed and removed if possible on hp-ux server. How can I remove them?
• ftp
• dtspcd
• echo
• chargen
• finger

Hi:

Comment-out these services in '/etc/inetd/conf'. Then do:

# inetd -c

...to re-read the modified configurtion file.

If it is related to unsecure network.
For ftp you can disable it and use sftp.
dtspcdand chargen-I do not have any idea.
echo-is shell built in I do not think its some thing to do with network and same for finger.

Hi Kacou,

For sftp You have to install secure shell in the server.Download and install open SSH from this site.
