SWA installation failed

hi all,

i try to install SWA for patches update, and i got his error.

# swinstall -x patch_match_target=true -s /tmp/PHSS_22898.depot

what do you think is a problem ?

Hi,

This patch is for s700_800 11.11 HP aC++ -AA runtime libraries (aCC A.03.76).

Is your m/c loaded with C++ developer bundles / softwares.

If not this patch will not install in system.

use #swlist -l bundle |grep -i C++

Hi,

One quick question/assumption - you do have the ANSI C++ compiler software installed?

I also see that the recommended patch now is PHSS_33945.

You should also look at PHSS_22868 as this is also required.

Hi DnD,

As per Patch Description it is for OS Releases 11.11 "s700_800 11.11 HP aC++ -AA runtime libraries (aCC A.03.30)" But you are using HP-UX 11.23.

For 11.23 you need PHSS_37500. With a newer one coming out in 2 to 3 weeks.

This isn't important, only the 11.11 vs 11.23 difference prevents this.

Again, you may need the aC++ runtime to run aC++ applications.

This isn't required if you just need the runtime and was never required on 11.23.
