    <description>You don't need to build a new kernel in 11.23. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Just kctune nfile=&lt;WHATEVER you="" want="" here=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It will hold across reboots by default, and since it is a dynamic tunable (man 5 nfile or see &lt;A href="http://docs.hp.com/en/B3921-60631/nfile.5.html" target="_blank"&gt;http://docs.hp.com/en/B3921-60631/nfile.5.html&lt;/A&gt; ) your change will take place immediately.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note that (as stated in the man page) if you're actually lowering it from the computed default in the kernel such that it is lower than the actual number of open files, the operation can be failed. It must also be equal to or greater than two times the value of maxfiles_lim. [Anyway -- see the man page for all this].&lt;/WHATEVER&gt;</description>

      <description>hi;&lt;BR /&gt;if you are a new user, you may use sam.&lt;BR /&gt;At menu ;&lt;BR /&gt;Kernel Configuration&amp;gt;View or modify kernel parameters&amp;gt;mark the nfile parameter and modify it.&lt;BR /&gt;regards,&lt;BR /&gt;mustafa&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
