Hello @,

I'm currently looking for the packages of CIFS server A.01.10 for HPUX 11.0 ( last version known for this version .. No IA/PA arch ) . I already tried many HP websites without success.

To explain the situation ... The goal would be to add an HPUX 11.0 to Active Directory and to do so, I would need a Bundle with CIFS server, KRB and OpenLDAP client. Can anybody help me on this topic ?

As far as I know the last version that was done was A.01.09

Then the OS support was pulled and HP stopped compiling samba for HP-UX 11.00

You may certainly take the source code and give it a try.

We already think to compile by ourselve the samba source code, but to compile it, as far as I know, I need the compiler C89 ( which is not native to HPUX and not free neither ).

Do you know a website where the old release of CIFS are stored ?

Hi David,

The last HP compile of CIFS/9000 on HP-UX 11.0 (at the time) was for A.01.11.04, or Samba 2.2.12. Since HP-UX 11.0 has fallen out of support life, A.01.11.04 is no longer available. In any case, this version did not support Kerberos, although you could join the AD and authenticate with NTLM and use MSRPC for all inquiries. I am not sure what you would have wanted OpenLDAP for.

HP compiles Samba binaries and loads them onto samba.org at:

http://us1.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/hp/samba-3.0.23a/

Go there and look at the 11.0 binaries. View the README, and come back here if you have any questions.
