Thanks - I did search the forums for "ivt_enroll_clock_ints" but didn't get any hits... how did you search and find that link? (I'm clearly doing something wrong!)

I am trying to install some patches, but when it tries to do mk_kernel, I get a failure relating to ivt_enroll_clock_ints.

The error occurs during the stage "Loading the kernel", and bombs out with "LD: unsatisfied synbol: ivt_enroll_clock_ints (code)"

I have checked /stand/system for anything out of the ordinary, but found nothing.

Any ideas?

Hi Richard,

it looks really the same like the following thread:

http://forums11.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447626+1214835254520+28353475&threadId=1133495

The concept is to reinstall the patch which contains that "unsatisfied symbol".
What is the HP-UX version?
Also post swlist -l product.

Best regards,
Fabio

>how did you search and find that link? (I'm clearly doing something wrong!)

Unfortunatly the forums search fails. :-( google finds it with:
ivt_enroll_clock_ints site:itrc.hp.com

Hi Richard,

yes, I searched that by google. I wonder that itrc search didn't find it, anyway did you fix your problem by the suggested thread?
If it's not so, please post the HP-UX version and "swlist -l product".

Best regards,
Fabio

That thread led to me resolving the problem... it was a different patch but the same principle...

swverify \* highlighted a corrupt patch so I reinstalled it. All OK now.

Regards,

Richard
