Hi,
I got D380 Server, there is a error message on LCD panel displaying "A088" error code and system unable to boot. I can't even even access console as well. In console i can only see the error code line "FLT A088". I can't even get access to use ISL/IPL commands. Please give me some input/direction to resolve this problem. Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

Was this a working machine? If so, what, if anything, changed recently on the machine?

I'm not sure, but going from the K-class troubleshooting guide (Doc ID PAM39EF55E1), the error code seems to indicate that the machine can not find the console and so can't boot. Has the console recently been changed? Try resetting it, i.e. turn it off, hold down cntrl-d and turn it on holding these keys down until you hear a blip.

-Santosh

Hi All,

I still have same problem where i tried to isolate the following problem area .
1. Tested console terminal and console cable. Found both are working ok.(even tried with another set of console terminal and cable)
2. Tried to check possible loose SCSI cable connection to HotSwap cage .Seems no problem
3. Observed all the 5 hotswap disks are getting initialize during self test and there is no fault LED on any of these disks.
4. Checked for terminal settings - all set ok.

Please take note that, after completing series of test the system stops and displays following message on LCD panel.
FLT A088
BOOT DEV CPU0

Appreciate anymore feed back on this. Thanks in advance
