Printer queue does not clear after printing.

I created a remote printer queue on HP-UX via SAM. The printer is a m3035 mfp. The problem is, I can print from the queue, but the queue does not clear after printing. Does anyone have and idea on how to fix this? Thanks.

You might try setting that up as a local queue. We have a couple hundred printers and most are configured using jetadmin or hppi, especially if they are HP devices. Those utilities will try to identify the printer type and use the appropriate driver. For incompatible devices like certain copiers or MFP's I set them up as a LaserJet4 and that usually works.

Hi,

was it really a remote printer or did you install a network printer? For a network based (HP-)device it's better to use 'hppi' (which will be called by the SAM interface).

Next:
Is anything printed?
Is the same job printed on and on?

Then the setting 'true end of job' (TEOJ) may have been set, but is not applicable.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I used SAM to add the printer as a remote printer. Yes, the printer printer the file I sent to test it, however the file is still visible in the queue.

please tell us:
- OS version
- Patches for LP spooler (try:
swlist 'PHCO_*' | fgrep lpspool

Check the description of more recent patches at HP-ITRC.
