Guys
i am trying to mount a newly imported filesystem but it complains about it being an unknown filesystem type.
It is possible that the filesystem is NTFS, my question is this.
is there any way to convert it to a unix filesystem or similar that i have not come across or is it something of a bug that i have not seen before.
all replys gratefully recieved.
regards
andrew

thanks for the reply's i have checked with the people that created the disk and it is apparently vxfs.
the error i get is below, it did complain about qouram when we imported but turned off checking and it imported correctly no errors so i am at a loss as to why this is happening unless there was a problem when the disk created.
an other thoughts would be helpfull.

error
/dev/vg08/lvol1: unrecognized file system
I was receiving the same error:

# mount /dev/disk/disk86 /tmpdisk
/dev/disk/disk86: unrecognized file system

on HP-UX 11 v3 because my EVA 5000 is not active-active (VCS 3.14, very old). After I set the preferred controller on EVA side for the particular LUN, then set load_bal_policy=preferred_path and preferred_path= in scsimgr for disk86 everything became normal.
