I've just created a new user and their default shell is csh. When I log in as that user the @ key does not work, but if I login as root and then su - the user the @ key works fine. Can someone tell me what I'm missing?

This is not happening on Solaris or AIX

The default for kill is "@" and erase is "#".
(That's why you can't use them in passwords without quoting.)

(Any reason the user wants to use the scummy C shell vs a real shell?)
