cmexec command fails during cmscancl

[root@mia1][/]$ cmexec mia2 ls
Node mia2 is refusing Serviceguard communication.
Please make sure that the proper security access is configured on node
mia2 through either file-based access (pre-A.11.16 version) or role-based
access (version A.11.16 or higher) and/or that the host name lookup
on node mia2 resolves the IP address correctly.
cmexec: Unable to execute command on the remote node: Permission denied

log file of mia2:

Jul 22 19:06:26 mia2 cmclconfd[2552]: Client provided hostname mia1 which does not match resolved name Mia1.vxindia.veritas.com.
[root@mia2][/]$ uname -a
HP-UX mia2 B.11.31 U ia64 1191847677 unlimited-user license

Can you kindly help me to resolve this problem?

Well here is the clue:

Jul 22 19:06:26 mia2 cmclconfd[2552]: Client provided hostname mia1 which does not match resolved name Mia1.vxindia.veritas.com.

This indicates there is an issue with your hostname lookups.
Also, I do not believe that this is a command that should be used from the command line.

Hi i got the point where is problem?
while ping the with hosts name it giving name:

[root@sfqamia1][/]$ uname -a
HP-UX mia1 B.11.31 U ia64 1743361632 unlimited-user license
[root@sfqamia1][/]$ ping mia1
**********
PING Mia1.vxindia.veritas.com: 64 byte packets
*****<----- It sholud give mia1 but it is giving Mia1 where is the problem i am not getting.
64 bytes from 10.216.146.115: icmp_seq=0. time=0. ms
64 bytes from 10.216.146.115: icmp_seq=1. time=0. ms
64 bytes from 10.216.146.115: icmp_seq=2. time=0. ms

----Mia1.vxindia.veritas.com PING Statistics----
3 packets transmitted, 3 packets received, 0% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 0/0/0

can kindly give any clue to solve this?

yes, yiou need to lok at how and where you are resolving the hostname.
use nslookup hostname and nslookup ip address to see what you are getting and where from
This is a network hostname/ip address resolution issue

You need to change your DNS or hosts entry from Mia1 to mia1 or add mia1 as an alias.

While the IP address resolves to Mia with a capitol you will get this error.

I have 4 node machine.I need to create a 4 node Service Cluster.While i am doing cmscancl on 4th node to all 4 node able to do but while doing form other 3 i am not able to do the cmscancl.
error comming from cmscancl from 1st 3 node.
Snip of the error:-

cmscancl: Can not cmexec to the system <4th node name>

What should be the reason for this error?Can kindly help me?

Hi, the above message can be taken if one of the interface subnet mask and the packet ip subnet mask value is different. Please check the subnet values.

Hi,

It is advisable to use simple hostnames for resolutions.

For example in /etc/hosts

IP hostname FQDN

Try to use your local hosts file first and see..

Also, why are you running cmexec here...
