It the printer guys keep the name/IP of the remote spooler the same no problem.

if not.. hmmmmmmm.....

I cannot think of a way.. Better start writing a script to delete and readd the 200+ printers.

remote queues are a bummer. If all these printers are on the network the cut out the middle man and configure for direct network printing.

Guys,

We currently have numerous (200+) remote print queues set up on our HPUX 11.11 servers, Theremote queues are in fact managed by a windows 2000 print server. The print server guys are creating a new printer server on a new windows 2003 server and will migrate all the queues over to it, question is how can I change my remote queue definitions to point to the new server with a different name or do I need to set them all up from scratch again, I can't seem to find the relevant entry in any config file or in the lpadmin man page.

Thanks for your help in advance......

"It the printer guys keep the name/IP of the remote spooler the same no problem".

if the server/IP is changed then you have to recreate the queue on HP-UX servers.Or recreate in one and push to remaining hp-ux servers.

why r u going for a new print server now?
