what is XPORT code macro

One of my HP Integrity (8640)crashed as a result of Panic. The HP Engineer said it was due to an improper initialization of a variable in the XPORT code macro'. what does this mean?

If this is a HP problem, the cause isn't as important as the patch ID and the bug report number.
