Update your version of Ignite.. I believe we are up to 7.x.x something..

There are 100s of fixes. Trying to ts a known problem is kinda a waste of time.

while running the recovery, i am getting two main errors related to lvol9 and lvol4.

when i checked with that

Hello,

If memory serves me well, I helped a
customer having almost identical issue some
many years ago.

You see line in your system_cfg file:

size=MB

There is no size value (no numeric).
It is a bug in old Ignite version.

Possibly the simplest resolution - upgrade
Ignite.

maybe this was a known issue, but everyone has forgotten what the cause was ... just too old.

Another thread these days was about another problem with ignite for 10.20 - the solution was to install a "latest" version from another old 11.00 cd set ... sorry, with this old, old version you are a bit lost ...

If it is hp-ux 10.20, then my suggestion is try the make_recovery instead of the make_tape_recovery.

/opt/ignite/bin/make_recovery -ACiv -d /dev/rmt/0mn
