topic System Handle in Operating System - HP-UX

Does anyone know WHAT the 'system handle' is or where it can be found? I am doing a patch analysis on two Hp Superdome's and was given a depot called SysInfo.6.14 - when I try to install it - it asks for several things (serial numbers etc.) but the 'system handle' is something I have never heard about.

It should be on your support contract - "support agreement ID" or "system handle" usually.

Pete

Hi Dave:

"System Handle" is an older term. I believe that you now used the "SAID" (System Agreement ID). This should be visable to you via SUM (Support Account Manager).

Regards!

...JRF...
